New York University’s Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science has announced its new flagship journal the Courant Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics (CPAM) will begin publication in early 2027! CPAM will be owned solely by Courant and will be produced and published by Mathematical Science Publishers (MSP), a nonprofit house specializing in mathematics and led by scholars with three decades of experience. NYU Courant has been publishing a mathematics journal since 1949, and the launch of the Courant Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics—celebrating our founder Richard Courant—corresponds with the creation of our new school.
