In support of the Taiwan government’s efforts to promote youth career exploration and talent development, Coupang Taiwan continues to partner with the Youth Career Development Center under the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor. We recently welcomed faculty and students from National Taiwan University’s (NTU) Department of Business Administration to our Taipei 101 office. Through industry-academia exchange, participants gained insights into how technological innovation servers as a core driver of Coupang’s continuous growth and enhances customer experience. Chih-Chen Lin, Head of Public Policy at Coupang Taiwan, shared that Coupang has been named to the U.S. Fortune 500 list for four consecutive years, rising from No. 142 last year to No. 132 this year. Coupang has continued to invest steadily in Taiwan, ranking first among U.S. companies in approved investment value in 2025 and second among all approved foreign investment projects. In April this year, Coupang also officially launched its fourth fulfillment center in Taiwan. Lin further introduced Coupang’s global business footprint and achievements in the Taiwan market, as well as best practices in technological innovation, patent strategy, environment, health and safety (EHS), and corporate social responsibility. NTU Dr. Chia-Lin Liu commented, “This exchange provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the operating model and innovative mindset of a multinational technology company. It was a unique experience that offered meaningful inspiration for their future career development.” Since 2024, Coupang has been working closely with Taiwan's Workforce Development Agency to support youth career development initiatives. In 2025, Coupang partnered twice with the agency's Northern Taiwan Workforce Development Branch to host career talks and exchange programs at the Youth Career Development Center and National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, highlighting the critical role of EHS in business operations and the diverse career opportunities within the field.
