📢 The Directorate of Programme Co-ordination (DPC) of the Council of Europe is recruiting a Programme Manager - Justice sector in Morocco! The Council of Europe Office in Morocco implements the Neighbourhood Partnership between Morocco and the Council of Europe, founded on a shared commitment to strengthening the rule of law, protecting human rights, and consolidating democracy. The Programme team "Towards a More Protective, Accessible and Efficient Justice System in Morocco – MA-JUST", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, works to strengthen the rule of law through an effective judiciary that complies with international standards, thereby ensuring access to justice. Requirements to apply: ✔️hold a higher education degree or qualification equivalent to a Master’s degree (2nd cycle of the Bologna process Qualifications Framework for the European Higher Education Area) in political or social sciences, international relations, law, or in a related field; ✔️have at least five years of relevant professional experience in the fields of democracy, human rights and governance in an international context, including: (i) management of cooperation or technical assistance projects; and (ii) professional experience in the MENA region, particularly in Morocco, with a good knowledge of the regional context; ✔️have a very good knowledge of one of the Council of Europe’s official languages (French) and knowledge of the other (English). Eligibility criteria: ✅ be a citizen of one of the member states of the Council of Europe and fulfil the conditions for appointment to the civil service of that state; ✅ have discharged any obligation concerning national service (military, civil or comparable); ✅ not be the parent, child, stepchild or grandchild of a serving staff member of the Council of Europe; ✅ be under the age of 65 years.
