Join us in welcoming Anthony Roe as our Account Manager for Western Australia. Anthony has spent close to 30 years on both sides of asset management, first keeping industrial assets running in harsh environments, then helping organisations use technology to make them perform better. Anthony started as a maintenance and production engineer in oil and gas with Norsk Hydro, moved into coal and power, managed major outage and capital projects, and then spent years at MRO Software and IBM running the asset management division across the UK and eventually all of Europe, and later in technology transformation at Downer in Sydney. He also spent time with ABB's Ellipse product, which gives him a depth of understanding across the platforms COSOL works with every day. We sat down with Anthony to help you get to know him better. 🟠 Anthony, what attracted you to COSOL? "I always thought it would be great to work somewhere that brings the best of the best together - from asset strategy all the way down to the data - and has the freedom to pick the best tool for the job. The combination of Ellipse, Maximo, and SAP expertise with COSOL's capabilities around data and asset management strategy is genuinely rare. When I spoke with Scott, COSOL’s CEO, we were on the same page immediately. It's quite amazing." 🟠 You have worked across oil and gas, coal, power, and rail for three decades. What does that experience tell you about where asset management is heading? "The inflection point of asset management performance enhancement is actually at a unique point, probably one of the most unique points in my career that I've observed. And what I have learned over the years is that timing is absolutely everything. Clients have refreshed their back-office systems with serious investment, creating interoperability and flexibility, which means that connecting strategies from top into the execution is absolutely achievable." 🟠 What are you most looking forward to in your first months with COSOL's customers in Western Australia? "I'm very familiar with the asset data quality challenges (what people often call 'asset data misery') that so many organisations are carrying as they push for better performance. That's where I'm most excited to make an impact with clients here in Western Australia. There's a real opportunity to accelerate that journey, and I'm looking forward to getting into it." We are excited to see the impact Anthony will make alongside our Western Australian customers and team. Welcome aboard, Anthony! #AssetManagement #TeamCOSOL #Perth
