Our advisors pulled together a checklist for asset and maintenance leaders who are trying to work out whether it's time for a formal #AssetManagement Assessment. Save it if it's useful. It covers three areas where the early warning signs typically show up: 🟠 Reactive maintenance - increasing breakdowns, critical spares not catalogued, a backlog that grows faster than it clears. 🟠 Weak standards and structure - planning and execution that varies by shift or supervisor, roles and accountabilities that are unclear, standards that exist on paper but aren't embedded in daily routines. 🟠 Poor data and systems - incomplete asset data, multiple sources of truth, reporting that's too slow to show you what's actually happening at plant level. None of these are unusual. Most sites are carrying at least a few. But if several of these are familiar, it's usually a sign that a structured assessment would surface more than you'd expect.
