Men’s Health Week often focuses on awareness. But in general practice, that’s not the biggest issue. Most men recognise when something isn’t right, but delays are common, with appointments postponed, symptoms overlooked, and conditions presenting later than they should. This isn’t just about behaviour, it’s about system design. When care is hard to access, inconvenient, or costly, many men opt out. Primary care has a critical role: reduce friction, improve access, and make it easier to walk through the door. Because engagement is where outcomes change. This Men’s Health Week, let’s shift the focus from awareness to access and from messaging to meaningful engagement. Often, the difference between early and late intervention isn’t knowledge, it’s whether someone got in the door in time.   #MensHealthWeek #PrimaryCare #GeneralPractice #HealthcareAccess
