Out now for EMC². Survey results on how companies in Southeast Asia are actually using AI. Voyager AI conducted the survey for the Cañizares Center for Emerging Markets (EMC²) at Cornell University. What stood out? AI in Southeast Asia is entering a mass implementation. Companies are using it for writing, research, reporting, customer service, data analysis, sales support and workflow automation. Access is not a problem, as the region has exposure to both East and West models. Instead, SE Asia is confronting the challenge of making AI work inside real companies — with messy data, old systems, privacy concerns, uneven skills, unclear ownership and budgets that still need to be justified. That is the Southeast Asia story right now. The region has the ingredients for fast adoption: young markets, optimistic attitudes, ambitious SMEs, intense competition and a willingness to experiment. And they know productivity will not come from prompts alone. Businesses seek to tackle the use cases, workflows, and work where AI can automatically achieve high quality results.
