In March, 861 men and women were stuck in emergency accommodation across Cork and Kerry. 861 adults whose lives are shaped by uncertainty - where the next week, the next month, sometimes even the next night, isn't something they can count on. 656 of them are facing it alone. No one to share the weight with at the end of the day. No one to talk through a hard decision with, or to simply sit beside in the quiet. Just one person, carrying it all - trying to hold onto some sense of normality, trying to keep going. Behind every one of these figures is someone doing their best in circumstances most of us will never have to imagine. They deserve better.
