๐Ÿ”ฌ From candidate ranking to lead identification. In antibody development, early candidate selection can have a major impact on development timelines, resource use, and long term product success. In our recent publication, we explore how surface hydrophobicity can support developability assessment of monoclonal antibodies and a mAb derived fusion protein. The study combines three complementary approaches: ๐Ÿ” Hydrophobic interaction chromatography ๐Ÿงช PAIA assay ๐Ÿ’ก Structure based hydrophobicity calculations By aligning method capabilities with the needs of different development stages, the publication shows how in silico thresholds, high throughput PAIA Biotech GmbH screening, and high resolution HIC ranking can be combined to support efficient candidate assessment. This science driven approach helps identify low risk candidates early, reduce the initial candidate pool, and guide lead selection with greater confidence.
