This weekend, the whole country is unplugging. Your computer should get the memo too. Closing your laptop isn't the same as shutting it down. Tabs stay open, apps stay running, and "I'll get back to that in a minute" turns into weeks. (Sometimes literally. We've seen machines go 30+ days without a real restart. We won't name names.) Here's the thing: your computer doesn't take a break just because you do. Updates pile up, memory gets cluttered, and patches sit there waiting for a restart that never comes. Eventually, something that should've been a non-issue turns into a slow computer, a weird glitch, or a ticket in our queue. The fix takes about two minutes. So before you sign off for the long weekend: š Save your work and actually restart ā don't just close the lid š Let those updates finally install šļø Give your machine's memory a clean slate ā”ļø Come back Monday to a computer that runs like you do after a long weekend ā refreshed Everybody deserves a reboot every once in a while. Even the machines. Have a happy, safe Fourth from all of us at Copeland!
