The historical channel is written, with a sharp promise : immediacy and simplicity, for customers of all ages and profiles. The ambition : an assistant that understands free-form spoken requests and acts directly in the SI to resolve them. ๐ ๏ธ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฎ Our teams designed and deployed Sharlie with the Orange team : a next-gen voice assistant, live in production on the brand. Over 30 specialised agents now handle customer requests, connected to Orange's internal APIs to fetch data and trigger actions on contracts. The tech : voice-to-voice (voice tokens are processed directly, with no transcription to text and re-synthesis). A world first in production. When the project kicked off, voice-to-voice wasn't even GA. Building on shifting foundations, several architecture pivots, full redesign of the data measurement approach in three weeks : continuous iteration shaped the entire delivery. ๐ก ๐๐ช๐ง ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฉ Charlie acts on the customer's contract on their behalf. That's what separates a conversational agent from an agentic one : value shifts from the quality of the answer to the execution of the task.
