More range, less rolling resistance: At Renault Group's Sustainability Tour, we presented a tire developed for Renault that goes well beyond today's efficiency standards – with rolling resistance up to 35% lower than the top "A" rating on the EU tire label. Rolling resistance accounts for around 20-30% of a vehicle's total energy consumption. This means a tangible benefit for drivers of electric vehicles: up to 30 additional kilometers of range on a 500-km battery charge – roughly the distance from Paris to Versailles. As the preferred technical partner of Renault's innovation platform "Garage Futurama”, we have contributed a range of new approaches based on our efficient EcoContact 7 tire line. These include specially adapted tread compounds, a new sidewall design and optimized tire construction. Virtual development has played a key role. By combining Renault's ROADS driving simulator with our Driver-in-the-Loop simulator, we are accelerating development cycles without compromising safety or performance.
