After 37 years in the electrical industry, including the last 17 years with Continental, IBEW Local 701 Journeyman Matt Nilles is officially retiring. Throughout his career, Matt has been a trusted Jobsite Steward on numerous projects and, most recently, our resident "Strut Guru" on the Prefabrication Team. His craftsmanship, leadership, and willingness to share his knowledge have left a lasting impact on our team. When reflecting on his career, Matt shared that some of his favorite memories include piping, cabling, energizing his first distribution system, and enjoying time with his coworkers after the workday was done. His advice to the next generation of electricians? Spend less time gaming and more time working with your hands. Those practical skills will take you far in the trade. As Matt embarks on retirement, he's looking forward to spending more time enjoying his hobbies and everything this new chapter has to offer. Please join us in congratulating Matt on an outstanding career and wishing him good health, happiness, and a well-earned retirement! Thank you for hard work and dedication to Continental! We're grateful for the impact you've made and wish you health and happiness.
