One of the special parts of travelling with our orchestra as a Master is gaining access to the music from the inside. During our tour to Baden-Baden, our Masters were invited to an exclusive timpani masterclass by our timpanist Bart Jansen. In an intimate setting, they were able to explore the instrument up close, ask questions and gain deeper insight into the artistry and precision behind its role in the orchestra. It was a valuable moment of connection and discovery, and a meaningful example of how we like to bring our supporters closer to the heart of what we do.
