A record-shattering heatwave is causing chaos across Europe - with hundreds of deaths being attributed to the soaring temperatures, hospitals are overwhelmed and some schools have closed as people struggle to cope. The World Weather Attribution climate scientists said today that this is the most severe heatwave ever recorded in Europe. Irish people commonly say we're "not built for this heat", but the reality is nobody can cope with extreme temperatures.
