Please join Concentric in congratulating our HBCU First Challenge winners Malaya Moon from Howard University, Mahlangu Nzunda from Jackson State University, and Bethany Abebe, CCNA from Howard University! Concentric was honored to work with 9 truly impressive HBCU students over a course of 6 weeks as they worked beyond our greatest expectations and rose to our challenge. We asked them to identify 3 threats (1 physical, 1 cyber, 1 societal) that are anticipated to intensify in the next 5 years and provide collective opinions on how each of these emerging threats will impact their respective categories. As a bonus question, we asked them to create, distribute, and analyze a survey targeting 18-25 year olds on how they consume their news and validate its legitimacy. Next up- internships! We did not want to end our relationship with this Challenge, so we created internships for these students! We are currently in the interview process and are excited to select a few of these students in the coming weeks for paid summer internships within numerous departments of Concentric.
