Colworth colleagues helped close to 400 children in the locality to get hands on with the world of STEM during British Science Week 2026. Volunteers from Unilever Colworth and The Magnum Ice Cream Company visited 10 local schools, engaging the pupils with interactive demos and real‑world science stories. They explored everything from chromatography and forensics to density experiments, microbiology, ice‑cream sensory science and the very popular ice‑cream tastings! The children asked thoughtful questions bringing this year’s British Science Week theme of “curiosity…what’s your question” to life. We received great feedback from the schools with some highlighting how excited the children were to make their own lava lamps. A huge thanks to all the Colworth volunteers who helped to inspire the next generation of innovators. #BSW26
