And it becomes difficult, because you put up a façade that you have to live up to every single day.”   Today, Carina is no longer defined by her illness and she’s living life on her own terms again: “It took 11 years and included lots of wrong turns, but now, with the right combination of treatments, my life has changed,” says Carina.
