What matters most is seeing people return to their everyday lives 🩵 Following a sledding accident in 2012, Carina was diagnosed with faecal incontinence, a condition that affected not only her body, but also her confidence, daily routines, and emotional well‑being. “In your own view, you’re not at all the person you used to be. And it becomes difficult, because you put up a façade that you have to live up to every single day.” Today, Carina is no longer defined by her illness and she’s living life on her own terms again: “It took 11 years and included lots of wrong turns, but now, with the right combination of treatments, my life has changed,” says Carina.
