Project Update | Treatment Rooms, Castle Ashby These before and after pictures are a great example of Colonial's ability to preserve and enhance historic buildings. The original doorway leading to the Treatment Rooms has now been carefully blocked up, preserving the character and appearance of the existing stonework. To achieve this, Wall Starter Kits were fixed to the masonry reveals, providing a secure connection for the new infill. Reclaimed stone was then carefully reinstated using traditional lime mortar to match the surrounding masonry and maintain the building's historic character. The result is a seamless finish that looks as though it has always been part of the original structure.
