A tribute to Major Vinay Singh (Retd), Former JAG Officer, Indian Army Some officers leave an organisation, but their values, character, and leadership continue to inspire those who had the privilege of serving with them. Major Vinay Singh is one such officer. Over the years, I had the opportunity to closely observe him not only when he served under the command of my wife but also as an independent legal officer and leader. He consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, sound legal acumen, unwavering integrity, and, above all, the moral courage to stand for truth and justice. In today's world, it is easy to compromise for career progression. It is far more difficult to uphold one's principles when they come at a personal cost. Major Vinay Singh belongs to that rare breed of officers who place ethics, duty, and institutional values above personal gain. Such individuals are the true strength of any organisation. His transition from the Indian Army is, in my view, a loss to the institution. However, the banking sector has undoubtedly gained a professional of exceptional calibre and a person of impeccable character. Organisations flourish when they are led by individuals who possess competence, integrity, and the courage to do what is right. I am confident that wherever he serves, he will continue to earn respect through his dedication, humility, and commitment to excellence. Wishing Major Vinay Singh the very best for a successful career, excellent health, and continued service to society. May he continue to inspire others through his leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to truth and justice. Col Amit Kumar (Veteran) Advocate
