Improving accessibility for beloved outdoor destinations 🩵 From August 2025 through summer 2026, Simon, a subsidiary of Colas USA, is delivering major infrastructure upgrades at two of Northern Colorado’s most visited outdoor destinations: Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake Reservoir! Designed to enhance safety and the visitor experience, the work includes: 👉 Milling existing surfaces, 👉 Placing 25,500 tons of aggregate base, 👉 Laying 20,700 tons of asphalt mix paving to build new access roads and parking areas. These improvements will ease traffic flow, provide more durable surfaces, and create safer, more accessible spaces for the thousands of visitors who use these sites each year.
