An exciting week for CodePath! Last week, Co-Founder and CEO, Michael Ellison, visited the New York Stock Exchange to speak about something that’s on everyone’s mind: How the talent market is shifting and what that means for the next generation of tech engineers. We recently interviewed over 200 engineering leaders: 38% indicated that they were decreasing their early tech talent hiring and one in seven said that they were pausing early tech talent hiring, but the real story isn’t the slowdown, it’s the massive demand for AI proficiency. This new market is telling us that credentials matter less and experience matters more. Employers are looking for engineers who aren’t just coders, but think architecturally, work across systems, and apply AI with real depth.
