UCLA is helping build the future semiconductor workforce as part of NNME Southwest, a new five-state regional initiative focused on expanding education, hands-on training, and career pathways in microelectronics and semiconductor manufacturing. Co-led at UCLA by the California NanoSystems Institute at UCLA and the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, the effort will expand industry-aligned training through the UCLA NanoLab and CNSI Tech Centers. Led by UCLA Engineering professor C.K. Ken Yang, the program will provide community college students and continuing education learners with hands-on cleanroom experience and industry-recognized credentials. "The initiative aims to address one of the region’s most pressing workforce challenges," said CNSI associate director Adam Stieg, helping prepare the next generation of talent for careers in Southern California’s growing semiconductor ecosystem ⚡ Learn more in the link below! https://lnkd.in/gSncVh4w
