20 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙜𝙤, 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙜. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠, 𝙄'𝙢 𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧. In between, there were 3 Editor-in-Chief roles, a VP position at VICE Media/Refinery29, two companies, a book and a front-row seat to one of the biggest transformations in media history. And yet, somehow, this feels like coming full circle. When I started writing online, there was no creator economy, no Substack, no Instagram and certainly no playbook for turning your thoughts into a career. What began as a creative outlet during my studies eventually became my profession and shaped the next two decades of my life. 5 years ago, I stepped away from the media industry and wasn't sure whether I would ever return. Looking back, I think I simply needed enough distance to figure out what I actually wanted to say. 𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙄'𝙢 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝 "𝙊𝙋𝙄𝙉𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎 + 𝙊𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙄𝙎𝙈", 𝙢𝙮 𝙣𝙚𝙬 Substack 𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧!!!! It's a space for commentary, observations and opinions on culture, media, consumer behaviour and modern life, all served with a healthy dose of optimism.
