Exterior Design | EV Design Language | Brand & Perceived Quality | Concept Strategy

Exploring mobility beyond conventional boundaries, with a focus on evolving EV design language for emerging global brands. This personal design study explores a coupe-crossover proportion in the context of a rapidly evolving electric mobility landscape. The focus is not on redefining an existing brand, but on investigating how surface language, proportion, and visual tension can contribute to a stronger emotional and perceived value in future EV products. A glossy metallic red coupe-crossover, characterized by sculpted muscular surfaces and a strong sense of tension between volume and aerodynamic efficiency. The design explores: a low, dynamic stance with coupe-inspired proportions a continuous black glass roof enhancing visual lightness sharp, highly defined LED headlamp signatures a closed but textured front graphic with mesh-inspired detailing large dark alloy wheels emphasizing stance and stability The aim was to balance emotional presence with a clean, technologically driven surface strategy. The study focuses on how perceived quality in EV design is strongly influenced not only by form, but by: proportion management surface tension and transitions light interaction on volumes and the clarity of brand expression through minimal graphic elements Rather than over-styling, the intent was to explore restraint as a design tool to strengthen identity. #AutomotiveDesign #CarDesign #ExteriorDesign #AutomotiveDesigners #FutureMobility #ElectricVehicles #EVDesign #ConceptCar #IndustrialDesign #DesignThinking #MobilityDesign #TransportationDesign #AutomotiveIndustry #DesignStrategy #BYD
