š 9 voices. 8 countries. 1 urgent truth. Women make up the majority of the global healthcare workforce. Yet they remain vastly underrepresented in its leadership. CLIRNET brought together nine trailblazing women physicians from šš¢š šš«š¢š, ššš¦šš«šØšØš§, šš¢š¦šššš°š, ššš§š²š, ššš®šš¢ šš«ššš¢š, šš§šš¢š, š š«šš§šš & beyond ā for a landmark session: "Women in Science: Leading with Purpose." And what emerged was a collective, cross-continental call to action. š Key insights from the session: š° The pipeline isn't empty ā it's leaking. Structural bias, absent mentorship & invisible promotion barriers are pushing women out of leadership pathways they rightfully earned. š± Digital platforms aren't just learning tools ā they're infrastructure for equity. Platforms like CLIRNET can amplify visibility, open networks & accelerate women's advancement in medicine. š Policy must move beyond aspiration ā pay equity tracking, transparent promotion criteria & leadership accountability are non-negotiables, not goodwill gestures. š¤ Mentorship is good. Sponsorship is better. Senior leaders must actively open doors ā not just offer encouragement. š Global patterns. Local solutions. From Saudi Vision 2030 to grassroots medical associations in Kenya & Cameroon ā context-specific action, backed by global solidarity, drives real change. š¬ "At CLIRNET, we believe the future of healthcare belongs equally to the women who have always been its backbone." š A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Amany Asfour, Dr. Julie Bacque, Dr. Ruaa AlHarithy, Dr. Monika Kaushal, Dr. Mandakini Megh, Dr. Zainab Kwaru Muhammad-Idris, Dr. Maforkoh Nchungong Epse Neba-Njofor, Dr. Virginia Masunda & Dr. Christine Sadia ā for your courage, clarity & conviction. #WomenInMedicine #HealthcareLeadership #GlobalHealth
