The Climate Neutral Real Estate programme and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO/Ministry of Foreign Affairs) had the pleasure of hosting executives from the Gulf region in the Netherlands. The delegation, comprising representatives from #United #Arab #Emirates, #Saudi #Arabia and #Oman, shares a vision of leading the #transition to #net-zero development in desert climates. During their three-day visit, the delegation explored a range of development projects, technology companies, and advanced energy and water systems in #Utrecht, #Raalte, #Eindhoven, and #Amsterdam, discovering innovative solutions and opportunities for collaboration. Highlights included: ✔️Deltares – Demonstrated the potential of underground aquifer thermal energy storage and innovative flood protection solutions. ✔️Eindhoven University of Technology – Presented opportunities for collaboration in advanced modelling, metal fuels, liveable outdoor spaces, and the latest research within the built environment. ✔️Signify – Showcased the possibilities of advanced lighting solutions. ✔️ Priva – Demonstrated the positive climate impact of next-generation building management systems. ✔️Square Floating City – Presented its modular, climate-resilient urban development concept, offering a scalable and sustainable approach to coastal living. ✔️PureBlue Water – Showcased the advantages of decentralised water treatment. ✔️MVRDV – Presented its biophilic, mixed-use development the Valley in Amsterdam's business district as an inspiring example of sustainable urban design. ✔️Oxycom – Demonstrated evaporative cooling and ventilation solutions for sustainable climate control in hot, dry regions.
