We have big news: Elisabeth Hoch joins our leadership team as CEO International! 👏 With Dr. Elisabeth Hoch leading our international portfolio and Ingmar Juergens continuing as CEO for Germany and the EU, Climate & Company is doubling down on its committment to international cooperation. Co-founder David Rusnok is now leading the Climate & Company Advisory Services. With over 20 years of experience across Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe, Elisabeth Hoch brings deep expertise in international development cooperation, forest governance and sustainable finance. Since joining Climate & Company in 2022, she has helped shape our international work and led key initiatives in deforestation-free supply chains and biodiversity finance. As an advisor, project manager, researcher and senior consultant she has worked for GIZ, KfW, OECD, ADB, the University of Freiburg. During her PhD in Forestry, Elisabeth pursued the question of whether it is worth for smallholders to plant trees in the Amazon. During her years at GIZ she coordinated the programs Triangular Cooperation and Academic Cooperation in Brazil and prepared and advised projects all over the world from GIZ headquaters. Elisabeth is based in Greece with her husband and three kids, speaks German, Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, and likes to believe her Greek continues to improve.
