One thing I’ve learned building sales workflows is this:   If every record shows every field, the system gets messy fast.   When leads, companies, contacts, and deals all share the same Custom Fields, people start working around the process instead of with it.   They leave fields blank. They enter information in the wrong place. They lose trust in the data.   What’s worked better for me is using Custom Fields by Task Type.   That way, company-specific fields stay on company records, contact fields stay on contact records, and only the truly shared fields stay at the List level.   It sounds like a small change, but it has a big impact.   The workspace feels cleaner. The team has more clarity. And the data becomes a lot more useful.   For me, the real takeaway is simple: better workflows come from showing the right information at the right time.   If you’re rethinking how your sales process is structured and want to learn more about this approach, connect with me, I’m always happy to share what’s worked. - Christopher Day, ClickUp Verified Consultant
