Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of premature death in men in the UK, despite the fact that much of it is preventable. Men typically develop coronary artery disease around 10 years earlier than women and many have undiagnosed risk factors. A common misconception is that feeling fit and well means your heart is healthy. In reality, heart disease can develop silently for decades, with the first sign sometimes being a heart attack, stroke or sudden cardiac event. Most cardiovascular events don't come out of nowhere. Understanding your risk and taking action early can make a significant difference. This Men's Health Week, take a moment to know your numbers, understand your family history and prioritise your long-term heart health. #ClevelandClinicLondon #MensHealthWeek #MensHealth #HeartHealth #CardiovascularDisease #CoronaryArteryDisease
