This week’s Fiercely Forward Friday spotlight is Mik Carbajales-Dale, whose research in the Clemson University College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences is helping advance understanding of sustainability, energy systems and transportation technologies. Through interdisciplinary, data-driven research, Mik studies the environmental and economic impacts of emerging transportation and energy systems, including electric and hybrid vehicles. His work helps provide deeper insight into how infrastructure, resource use and consumer behavior influence long-term sustainability outcomes. Recently recognized as Senior Researcher of the Year, Mik’s work highlights the important role research universities play in addressing complex environmental and societal challenges through innovation and collaboration.
