Meet Goldwater Scholar Ashley Blake! A chemical engineering major, Blake plans to conduct research over the summer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then return to Clemson University for her senior year. After graduation, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. and ultimately wants to found her own company, focusing on gene therapy and neuroscience research to help cure neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
