The Class of 1976 gifted Clemson University a flagpole to stand at the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center. It will serve as a symbol of pride, remembrance, and the values that connect Clemson and our nation. Fifty years ago, as the Class of 1976 graduated from Clemson, America was celebrating its Bicentennial. 200 years of independence, resilience, and possibility. As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States, we are reminded once again of those same ideals. Thank you, Class of 1976, for this gift that will serve as a daily reminder of the freedoms we cherish and the responsibilities we carry.
