Investing in the next generation of power system engineers. Over the past two months, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of summer interns from Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) to our Power System Interconnection team. Throughout their internship, they worked alongside our engineers on practical assignments that reflected real industry challenges. Their experience included: - Mapping substations and transmission lines using Google Earth Pro, gaining hands-on exposure to GIS-based electrical asset mapping. - Learning the fundamentals of ETAP, one of the industry's leading power system analysis tools. - Building network models and performing power flow studies to evaluate voltage profiles, line loading, power transfer, and system losses. These projects gave the interns valuable insight into how utilities and developers analyze, plan, and optimize power systems to support reliable and efficient grid operations. We're equally proud of the collaborative environment our team created throughout the internship. Seeing experienced engineers mentor aspiring professionals and share their knowledge is an important part of who we are at CIR.
