Two new Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme savanna fire management methods were recently made. The Q1 Quarterly Carbon Market Report gives a worked example of how the sequestration bank works for an illustrative sequestration project under one of these methods—the sequestration and avoidance method. The sequestration bank allows a more gradual and predictable issuance of ACCUs over a project’s crediting period.
