Is Germany really the "sick man of Europe, Eric Menges"? That was one of the central questions I discussed with the CEO and President of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region, after our recent business delegation to Atlanta and Charlotte, organized by the IHK Frankfurt am Main. One remark from Eric stayed with me: "Let's slow down the talk and speed up the doing." What makes his perspective particularly valuable is that he speaks with international companies and investors every day. And according to him, their view of Germany is often very different from the narrative we hear at home. Reliability. Efficiency. Engineering excellence. Access to Europe's largest market. While many Germans focus on what is not working, international investors continue to see opportunities. In our latest Courage Skyline Talk, Eric explains why Frankfurt Rhein-Main remains one of Europe's leading investment destinations, why global technology companies continue to invest billions in data centers, how potential pension and banking reforms could strengthen Germany's financial sector, and why international businesses still choose Germany as their European base despite today's challenges. Therefore… I like to quote Eric again: "Let's slow down the talk and speed up the doing." Perhaps that is exactly the mindset Germany needs right now. The full interview is now available on our YouTube channel: "Doing Business with Germany". I'm curious to hear your perspective: Has Germany become too pessimistic about itself, or are international investors seeing opportunities that many of us no longer recognize? #Germany #Frankfurt #IHK #AHK #GACC
