🇵🇹✨ Today is a public holiday in Portugal — a day to celebrate our country and our incredible Portuguese communities around the world. And in this pause, I realized I still hadn’t shared anything from one of the most unforgettable work trips I’ve ever taken. Japan had been on my bucket list for years — the culture, the energy, the food, the curiosity to understand a place so unique. It was always a top priority. And even though visiting Japan deserves a long stay… sometimes you just need to embrace what life gives you and go. That was exactly the spirit that took me to Tokyo. And wow — every expectation wasn’t just met, it was surpassed. 🎌 A city that feels like magic — organized, spotless, and able to blend tradition, innovation and creativity in the most seamless, graceful way. 🎌 People who inspire — kind, humble, smiling, always trying their best to communicate even when English isn’t widely spoken. 🎌 A long‑awaited moment — meeting my Japanese team in person for the first time, understanding their ecosystem, and feeling the challenges and beauty of being part of a global team outside Japan. 🎌 Our first offsite together — a chance to connect, reflect, and navigate the challenges ahead while gaining clarity for FY27… and yes, July 1st is almost here. One week wasn’t enough — not for everything I wanted to see, everyone I wanted to meet, or the parts of Japan I still want to explore beyond Tokyo. But I left with one clear promise: I will be back. This culture deserves time, presence, and curiosity. My heart is full of gratitude for the warm welcome, the connections, the events, and the opportunity to meet this amazing SCIM Team. You made this trip deeply rewarding, meaningful, and unforgettable. I returned home richer — in experiences, in learning, and in appreciation. Arigato, Tokyo.
