Marketers have been arguing about long-form content for years. Is it worth the investment? Does anyone actually read it? The research doesn't give a clean answer. Studies on both sides of the debate have the numbers to back them up, which means the length question is probably the wrong one to be asking. So here's a better question: Do you know your audience well enough to write something they'll stop scrolling for? Readers aren't passive. They skim constantly and read selectively, and when something is genuinely relevant to them, length isn't a deterrent. The problem usually isn't that a piece is too long. It's that it wasn't written for the right person in the first place. Beth digs into the data and lands on a clear take in our latest post. [link in comments]
