Toronto’s summers are getting hotter and lasting longer due to climate change. For many vulnerable residents, prolonged extreme heat can be dangerous. To help, we’re providing portable air conditioners to 1000 Torontonians at no cost as part of our heat relief strategy. If you live in an apartment building and are a low income senior, are pregnant, or have an infant at home, you may be eligible for assistance.
