It’s June, Toronto! That means: Pride and Seniors Month. 🌈🎉 Let’s talk about Adam and Daniel, two seniors with ties to one of our Long Term Care Homes, to remind us that love, belonging, and community have no age limit. Eighteen years ago, Adam and Daniel met at Toronto’s Pride Parade. What began as a chance meeting grew into a lasting partnership built on love, respect, and unwavering support. Today, Adam lives at our True Davidson Acres Long Term Care Home, where life looks a little different than it once did. But through every change, one thing has remained constant: Daniel. He visits often, accompanies Adam to every medical appointment, and is by his side through it all. Each year, they return to the Pride Parade because that’s the place where their story began. For Adam and Daniel, Pride is more than a celebration. It’s about unity, connection, and community. Above it all, it’s about love and a reminder that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and included. We celebrate Adam and Daniel’s enduring love and the power of showing up for one another, year after year. 🌈 Happy Pride Month and Seniors Month, Toronto!
