This past weekend, as a part of the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week, Yitpi Yartapuultiku hosted a day of activities for local and broader community members to engage with Kaurna Culture. The day opened with a Welcome to Country with Aunty Susie and a Smoking Ceremony at the Cooking Fire Pit with Bryce Cawte followed by a suite of offerings including: ⭐Damper Making and Bush Medicine with Tarnda ⭐Weaving with Kahlia Power-Smith ⭐Yidaki (Didgeridoo) playing workshops with Otis Carter ⭐Cultural Tours with PAE Cultural Ranger Willis Daveson ⭐Stories with Kaurna Elders ⭐a kids play area provided by Kura Yerlo Inc ⭐an acoustic set by Katie Aspel Despite the weather, the community showed up to enjoy the day and participate in bespoke workshop experiences providing meaningful experiences for all. A big thanks to everyone who helped make the event a wonderful 50th anniversary celebration for the community.
