Did you know one of the most beloved traditions at our annual BMT Reunion started as a completely impromptu moment? In 2011, a City of Hope transplant nurse rewrote a familiar song to reflect the care patients were receiving. Midway through her performance, she invited other nurses in the audience to join her onstage. There was no choreography and no rehearsal. A small group of day‑shift and night‑shift nurses stepped forward as patients, families, and colleagues watched. That moment marked the beginning of the Marrowettes. What started with seven transplant nurses has grown into a cherished reunion tradition. Today, caregivers from across City of Hope come together to participate, including nurses, therapists, nurse practitioners, and physicians. Each year, they sing and dance as an expression of gratitude for the patients and families they serve. For Eufie Pulmano MSN, RN, TCTCN, a City of Hope nursing house supervisor and original Marrowette, the annual performance is about more than singing and dancing. It is about joy, gratitude, and reconnecting with patients whose stories stay with her long after treatment ends. Watch the story behind the Marrowettes, then join us this Friday to watch them perform at our BMT Reunion. RSVP here: https://bit.ly/41XyvN5 #BMTReunion
