A lot of work happens behind the scenes on projects like this, and every now and then, you get a moment where it all comes together in one place. Local government, State and Federal representatives, and community partners standing together on site, looking at the real impact of the Cleaning up the Canning project. What’s happening along the river system is practical and on-ground 🌿 Weed removal 🌿 Revegetation 🌿 Restoring tidal flows 🌿 Supporting biodiversity It’s a good reminder that none of this happens in isolation. This is what coordinated, long-term collaboration looks like across the south-east corridor 🫸💥🫷 We are so so proud to be part of this epic partnership that is focused on doing the work and seeing it through. Shoutout to the South East Councils Corridor Alliance (SECCA), South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare (SERCUL), the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group (AGLG), Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation, Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Water Corporation, Hon Matthew Swinbourn, Hon Murray Watt, Hon Matt Keogh, and the Mayors of our SECCA Councils Mayors Ruth Butterfield, Patrick Hall, Terresa Lynes, and Karen Vernon 🫶
