Too often, conversations about infertility focus solely on women, yet male factors contribute to around half of all infertility cases. Breaking down stigma and encouraging earlier testing is essential to improving outcomes for couples. Recently, Dr Hossam Elzeiny joined SBS Arabic Radio to discuss male infertility, challenging common misconceptions around fertility and masculinity while encouraging the Arab community in Australia to seek support without shame. His message was clear: infertility is a medical condition, not a reflection of masculinity. By having these conversations in language and within communities where stigma can be a significant barrier, we can help more people access the information, support and care they need.
