Cirrus Therapeutics is proud to celebrate the appointment of our Co-founder and Chief Scientific Adviser, Professor Andrew Dick, MD, as the next Dean of the UCL Faculty of Brain Sciences. In this important new leadership role, Andrew will help guide one of the world’s leading interdisciplinary faculties in brain and vision research, building on his longstanding work across discovery and translational science, clinical partnerships, and academic leadership. Andrew currently serves as Duke Elder Chair and Director of the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and as Co-Director of the NIHR Moorfields Biomedical Research Centre. Over the course of his career, he has become internationally recognized for advancing ocular immunology and for helping translate research on inflammatory and degenerative eye disease into therapies that have changed clinical practice for patients worldwide. His leadership, scientific depth, and commitment to patients have also been foundational to Cirrus. Andrew’s work in retinal inflammation and degeneration helped inspire the science behind our company, and his guidance continues to shape how we think about building therapies that can meaningfully alter the course of dry AMD and other chronic blinding diseases. Congratulations to Andrew on this outstanding appointment. We are excited to see his leadership continue to shape the future of brain and vision science and sensory systems, and proud to have him as part of the Cirrus journey. #vision #AMD #DryAMD #WetAMD #optometry #opthalmology #healthcare #science #STEM #biotech #biopharma #research #lifesciences
