Fredrick II Hohenstaufen of Swabia (German region) was born in 1194 in a small Adriatic town known for its amazing "green" #wine known as Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, he became Holy Roman Emperor and did so much for the development of infrastructure and improvement of agriculture 🍇🍎🥬🥦 in Southern #Italy and especially in Puglia where he was nicknamed "puer apuliae" (son of Puglia). There in the 1240s he had the famous hexagonal Castel del Monte built in an area famous for its red 🍷 made out of Bombino and Primitivo #italianwine 🇮🇹 #winelovers # #boston
