What is your plan when eco-modulation fees for textiles arrive? 👕 Germany must implement a mandatory #EPRsystem for textiles by 2028, and eco-modulation is set to become one of its most influential mechanisms. By linking EPR fees to circular design criteria, it creates financial incentives that will shape future product design and influence brand portfolios. Brands that understand their exposure early will be better positioned to adapt. We’re joining forces with circular.fashion, to include their industry initiative for a concrete eco-modulation proposal in our EPR precursor project and to support bringing the results into the current policy process. How it works: brands provide product-level portfolio data, and circular.fashion simulates cost impacts under three fee-structure scenarios. Results are returned to each brand as confidential, and aggregated insights feed directly into how policymakers design the final system, so participating brands gain a voice in shaping it. The spots for the pilot are limited, if you want to know your exposure before the fees are set, now is the time!
