This morning, we launched the CIPD / Sustainable HRM Skillnet AI Community of Practice and what a start it was! 🙌   Thank you to Accenture UK & Ireland for welcoming us into their co-creation studio, and to everyone who showed up ready to think, share and experiment together.   A few reflections that stayed with us from today's conversations: 💡 AI should be a team sport. HR is perfectly placed to be the connector in the multidisciplinary approach AI implementation demands.  💡 Start with the problem, not the tool. Purpose matters more than the technology.  💡 Imagine getting back 8 hours a week. The question isn't just what AI can do, it's what we do with the space it creates.  💡 Psychological safety underpins everything. There are no high-performing teams without it, and no room to experiment without it.  💡As AI grows, the human element becomes more important, not less. We need to protect and invest in it intentionally. 💡 Use AI responsibly. Build a shared prompt library to reduce repetitive, iterative prompting to support productivity and sustainability.    The challenge our panellists and conversations left us with:   💬 Play with it. Get rid of the fear. As HR professionals, we can't afford to be behind the curve. We need to know what's out there so we can lead the strategy, not follow it. 💬 Challenge yourself to see what can go right. 💬 Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Think about new possibilities, and approach AI inclusively, not through limited trials, but openly and inclusively with intent.   We're at an early stage and nobody has it all figured out, but that's exactly why this Community of Practice exists. 🤝 A practical, member-driven space to learn together in real life from each other.
