Bridging the Gap between Technology and People. IT Adoption, communication and change management. I translate complex jargon into clear and concise communication for better adoption of tools and processes.
𝗠𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 This is not another career switch post. As many of you know, I love to write. For the past five years, I’ve been writing professionally as part of my change management and communication role, alongside volunteering to craft website and social media copy for non-profits. But I have also been dabbling in short stories and blog posts. Since I couldn’t seem to get past the blinking cursor on a blank screen at home, I joined a local creative writing course organized by the Hobbygilde. As part of an initiative by the local library BiblioNu , to fill the town with poetry this summer, our instructor challenged us to write a summer-themed poem. Not one to back down from a challenge, although not hindered by any previous poetry writing knowledge, I sat down and wrote two. It was a fun but strange experience, using my brain in a completely different way. To my surprise and delight, one of them was selected to be displayed on the shop window of a local liquor store/off license in Horst. Before heading off to Pieterburen to start a different kind of challenge (the first nine days of the Pieterpad long-distance trail) I snapped a quick picture of the poem on the window. It served as a great reminder, and I’d love to pass it on to you: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 ? 𝐵𝒶𝓁𝓁𝑜𝑜𝓃 𝐼 𝓈𝓌𝒶𝓎 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓈𝓌𝑒𝓇𝓋𝑒, 𝓈𝓌𝒾𝓈𝒽, 𝓈𝓌𝒾𝓇𝓁 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓈𝓌𝑜𝑜𝒻. P.S.: If you were expecting to see a post on my insights on AI, please be patient. The final course by Computrain has been postponed to July.
