Today was an important day for Europe's #SmartGrids, and CINEA couldn't miss it! ⚡ At the PCI Smart Grid Summit in Košice, policymakers, regulators, TSOs, DSOs, project promoters and technology providers came together to discuss how smarter electricity networks can support Europe's energy transition. As electrification accelerates and renewable energy deployment continues to grow, smart grids are becoming essential to ensure that electricity can be delivered where and when it is needed. They help make networks more flexible, improve reliability, integrate increasing shares of renewable energy and empower consumers to play a more active role in the energy system. The summit also provided the perfect opportunity to launch CINEA's new Smart Grids publication, showcasing innovative technologies supported under #EU #HorizonEurope alongside real-life infrastructure projects funded through #CEFEnergy: https://lnkd.in/e4jEdEVY The publication highlights how research, innovation and infrastructure investments work hand in hand to transform Europe's electricity networks and turn promising technologies into solutions delivering tangible benefits on the ground. As highlighted by CINEA’s representative Ona Kostinaitė-Grinkevičienė during the event: "The successful delivery of smart grid projects relies on close cooperation between network operators, policymakers, regulators, technology providers and local communities. That's why events like this summit are so important: they bring together all the key players to exchange experiences, learn from one another and work together to accelerate Europe's energy transition."
